Calm and composed particularly in a difficult situation
Alex Galvin is Founder and Principal Adviser at Equanimity Financial Services and author of the soon to be released book, ‘The Tao of Wealth and Prosperity: An Elixir For Finding Your Financial Centre’. He has held roles at some of Australia’s premier financial planning practices and large institutions over the last decade, seeing what works and perhaps what could be done better as well.
Apart from being a Financial Planner, Registered Tax Adviser and Accredited Adviser of Self-Managed Superannuation Funds, Alex also holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Masters’ of Financial Planning.
When he’s not delivering holistic financial advice, you’ll find Alex surfing (or trying to), training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (clears the mind apparently!) or enjoying a pale ale (maybe even a chardonnay) with family and friends around Manly.
I was referred to Alex by my Accountant and proceeded with him because he explained things simply and was really easy to get along with. I would refer Alex to my friends because he has an in-depth knowledge and always sticks true to his word.
We were introduced to Alex and went ahead because he was really understanding and able to guide us through managing a portfolio. I would highly recommend him, because he listened and delivered on his service.
We believe every business has the power to change lives by integrating giving into its’ everyday activities. Buy 1, Give 1 (BIG1) is a social enterprise and non – profit organisation dedicated to changing lives by partnering with business who contribute a percentage of their ongoing revenue to over 500 vetted, high-impact projects supporting people and communities worldwide with 100% of contributions going directly to projects.
So rather than keeping advice fees for funds under management, we pledge this to BIG1 for every client we work with, knowing the cumulative effect of our contributions is like compound interest and makes a big impact to people who need it most. Thank you for helping us make a real difference.
The project we’re currently involved in is Punaruthan Voluntary Organisation. By helping plant vegetable and fruit trees, we’re helping women in rural areas in India access nutritious food, lowering infant and adult mortality rates.
